Cassie Brooks is an award-winning children’s author who actively engages in promoting inclusive children’s literature. On October 23, 2024, she participated in a special discussion at the University of Memphis titled “The Natural & Supernatural in Children’s Literature: Conversations and Resources for Inclusive Children’s Literature Practices.” This event explored themes such as natural and supernatural elements in stories, LGBTQIA+ representation, and Deaf/ASL inclusivity in children’s books.
